I’ve always been a rebel and I’ve always known I would be an artist.
From childhood, my family encouraged me to pursue my passions. When I became interested in art, I never looked back despite the many traditional pressures which stood in my way. I have experimented with many types of art, from tie dye to beadwork to printing. I’m now focused on painting, and find myself most inspired by the people I encounter every day in Nairobi. I’m currently working on a collection of paintings of women and incorporating traditional fabric into each piece.
